2007 Season - Training Camp Update

And so as summer holidays loom, it is once again time to plan for your domination of the BUMS League as you seek to be the man who in 6 months time is holding the Papas Fritas Trophy or gaining promotion to the big league. The first decision you have to make is when you prefer the draft to be:- Saturday or Sunday September 1st or 2nd - please let me know if you will be available on either day and whether Afternoon or Evening is preferred by July 31st. Due to work commitments I can already confirm that Trading Day 1 will be on Sunday 7th October before week 5’s games and Trading Day 2 will be on Sunday 18th November before week 11. Put these in your diary. Franchise Players The time for the selection of our 2007-8 Franchise players has arrived, you must supply the name of your new Franchise Man by July 31st. To help out a few bits of research are on the way. Firstly attached is the final table with each players teams (so you can remember who you had on your squad in the first place) and how much they will cost you for the next two years if you Franchise them. Remember if you cut your franchise player you still pay him his signed salary for the rest of the season/two seasons. This year big names becoming available include QB Drew Brees, running backs Shaun Alexander & Willis McGahee, receivers Reggie Wayne & Roy Williams and kicker Adam Vinatieri as they have all ended their 2 year Franchise designation and become free agents. They are released onto the open market together with the rookies - the rookie report (attached) details the players from the first two rounds of the NFL Draft who may be available to us this season, together with who signed them. A number of key player moves occurred this off-season with BUMS regulars like Jeff Garcia, Trent Green, Jamal Lewis, Willis McGahee, Joe Horn, Darrell Jackson and Randy Moss moving teams.
